I don't remember what was the last thing I posted because I haven't been online for a while. The most important thing is that I finished my first intensive German course, and I started with the next one.
The teaching is going much faster now. We get through a lesson in 3 days, and the teacher has us under a short leash.
For example, today I had a test, and honestly, I wasn't in the mood to study, and I couldn't focus either. So, to hell with learning! Nevermind, it didn't go that good in terms of vocabulary but luckily, in grammar, it went really good.
Among other things, I moved. I am no longer staying at my maternal cousins'. Now I'm staying with their brother and his wife on the other side of town.
Things in the town where I live (Göttingen) are getting so boring. It's the end of the summer semester, and most of the students that aren't from around here are going back to their hometowns. Little by little the city is turning into a dead zone.
Now it's time for something good to light up the day:
This Friday I'm going to Hanau! It's a small city near Frankfurt. I hope to take several photos and to upload them to the website as soon as possible. By the way, I have been updating it quite often in case you haven't noticed.
On August 25, the wife of my mother's cousin will be hosting a gathering for her work colleagues, and she asked me to give her a hand. I'll make my famous salted popcorn, and I'll spice it up with chilli and lemon for them to try out. At first, people found the idea of salted popcorn disgusting. In Germany, people normally have it with caramel instead of salt. They were very sceptical but tried it, and they adored it! It was so successful that every time there is a meeting they ask me to do it. Perhaps I should patent my recipe, and sell it!
