I never thought this day would ever come. I spent twelve years in Germany, and during that time, it never became possible for me to go on a ski vacation. Luckily, moving to Switzerland has been so far great. It has barely been six months since I arrived here, and I'm finally fulfilling one of my dreams!
Getting ready for the trip was a bit stressful. I had no idea what kind of gear or clothes I needed. Thankfully, I found a great supplier from Sweden on the internet (Ridestore AB), and they were very helpful in getting me ready on time.
It was only a weekend in Anzère but it was breathtaking! The view from the top of the mountains was unbelievable, and the weather conditions were great. It was sunny, not so cold and not so windy either.
For the very first time skiing, I can say that I was a quick study and that I did quite well. In summary, I only fell two times in the course of the trip. The first one, after getting on the band-lift for the very first time; and the second one, when I thought I was ready for some more action.
